There are many factors that go into your ability to play a good round of golf. Weather, the condition of the course, your mental and physical state, and how other people in your group are doing to greatly affect the outcome of your game. Learning how to play in different weather conditions is important especially if you plan on traveling to different courses during the year. Courses that are overly dry or wet will cause you to adapt to these conditions in order to ensure the ball goes where you want it to go. And even after you have played in similar conditions you cannot always keep the terrain from affecting your game. Another issue concerning weather is the temperature. On hot days, you golf ball will travel farther than on cold days. By learning how to gauge weather changes during your game, you will be able to compensate for different types of weather. If it rains right before your round, you may need to wait until the ground dries or learn how to control the ball on a wet surface. Since some golf courses water the green on a daily basis, the time you play will also affect your game. Your mental and physical state before a golf game is another factor you need to consider. The day before a game or the morning of your game, you should try to relax and get enough rest so you can play a good round. If you have leg, knee, shoulder, or neck injuries, your game may suffer if you have to compensate by shifting your body in different ways from what you are used to. If you cannot stop thinking about work, family issues, or other important issues during the game, you may not play as well either. Making sure you are in good health is important before hitting the green.
If you have been playing golf with the same group of people for a period of time, you may have noticed that your performance is sometimes altered depending on the mood of the group of their performance. Negative feelings and energy can be absorbed by other players, especially in a game like this one when mental stability is almost as important as the conditions of the green. Make sure that everyone is up to playing a round before you begin. This way, everyone will have a good time.
