With the screw expansion anchor you will be able to screw the bolt into the hole. This allows the item to be securely placed on the wall. With a plastic toggle anchor you will be able to move the flexible arms. You will need to pinch them together and then press them until they are flush with the wall.
Make sure you take the time to evaluate what you need before you go to you local hardware store. Knowing the type of material the wall is made from and the weight of the items you plan to hang up will make shopping for wall fasteners much easier for you.
