Tanning, Naked Tanning: Is It Desired?

by Ashish Jain

You may be quite enthusiastic to get a complete homogeneous tan all over the body. What about tanning naked? Sounds easy...but, wait...Is it that much desired? Is it safe for you? Well, tanning has become a fashion statement for all, but the main purpose of it is something different. Tanning is done to increase the melanin content on your skin so that it can prevent and protect your body from harmful penetration. And there are limitations to which you can tan. Naked tanning is thus worse in its kind, please beware of it. Here is the list of harmful effects of naked tanning. Know them clearly before you make your mind to lie naked under the sun or artificial tanner.
The sensitive body parts including breasts, genital organs and underarms are more prone to harmful effects of UV rays. You may develop symptoms such as severe rashes and skin penetration while lying naked for hours under the sun or tanning lamp.
The ultraviolet radiations penetrate these areas faster and may cause acne or sunburns. The scrotum and the lips of the vagina are extra sensitive to high temperature and UV radiations.
The breast skin of a woman is very tender, thin and delicate. Naked tanning on and often make them rugged and the age spots grow quick on the breast skins.
Sunscreen lotions definitely prevent the intensity of penetration through the skin but harmful UVB rays can still penetrate through the mammary glands and become the reason for breast cancer.
The possibility of having skin cancer rises with the naked tanning. The sun radiations having harmful ultraviolet rays penetrate through the epidermis of your skin and thus manipulate the immune system.
So from now onwards, if you go for tanning don't perform it naked. Wear tanning bikinis or put on some cloths to cover the sensitive areas. Don't tan for more than 10 minutes since melanin generation from the Melanocytes require moderate instigation by the UV rays. Perform the tanning at relative intervals so that you get a tanned skin as well as safe body, free from any problems. And don't forget to use the lotions or moisturizers, they are protective shield for your body while tanning.
