Ex, Tips For How To Get Your Ex Back Without Losing Your Sanity

by Dan Weber

Anyone who has ever suffered a breakup before knows how difficult this time can be. However, there are things you can do to help make the situation more bearable, and there are things you can do to make the situation worse. Your choice in this matter determines weather things are going to be easier or are things going to be harder for you. And — if you want to know how to get your ex back, than there are quite a few things you can do to help get your ex back and retain your sanity. I will discuss some of there right here in this article.

Step one - Understand that no matter how badly you may want to be together, at this point in time, you are not. This means there is no reason to call your ex 50 times a day just to see what they are doing, yet actually hoping to earn respect. You must give the other person a little bit of space. This means put away the ideas of acting like a stalker. Stop calling just to hear their voice on the answering machine and stop following them around. If you are engaging in any of this type of behavior, you are doing nothing more than pushing your ex away. This is generally not the goal that most people have in mind.

Step two - while giving your ex some space is a good idea, it is still a good idea to let them know you care about them. This means once you feel the time is appropriate, a simple phone call just to say hello or even a quick e-mail just to check on them is acceptable. However, keep it light, and try not to seem overly pushy. This is the time you want to prove to your ex that you are willing to change and make things better. At the same time, your ex needs their space. But in spite of that, you do not want to ignore them completely. Your goal here is striking a balance between showing you care and acting like a stalker.

Step three - Ignore your friends advice while you may enjoy your friend’s company. You may like talking to your friend about your relationship, but you alone are responsible for making the decisions that affect your relationships. This means, in many cases, ignoring what your best friend Sally says about how to get your ex back. Instead, follow what your heart tells you. This may also mean you need to ignore what your family says. For example, your family says the best thing to do would be to send your ex flowers. Now, you know that that would upset them more and make the situation worse. This would be a good time to simply tell them thank you for the advice and choosing a different way of trying to reconnect with your ex.

As you can imagine, much of what determines if you will get back together depends upon your behavior as well as your ex’s wishes. Regardless of how hard you try, if your ex really does not want to get back together, than there’s very little you can do. Nonetheless, with the right behavior and the right attitude, you have a huge impact upon how positive the experience can be, and this will eventually greatly effect your chances. It is important not to dwell on the negatives, and instead work on emphasizing the positives of your relationship. By following some of these simple tips, you should find the experience of trying to get your ex back to be much simpler.
