Global Warming, Global Warming

by Mike Glanville

Concerned about Global warming? Help us grow a Global Forest.
It seems that everyone is concerned, but we are all too happy to let others do something about the problem, is that your response? Do you say things like, “Politicians should do something” Mr Bush this, Mr Blair that, rather than use public transport, sell the car, make less flights, insulate the house? If we all feel someone else should do something, global warming will get worse, for sure. You, me, we, should all do stuff to ensure our kids have a planet worth inheriting.
And speaking of kids “ they are the worst for leaving TVs, computers, lights, cell phone chargers, electric toothbrush chargers, games machines switched on. So what can we do? We can all use energy more wisely, and grow more trees for starters. If you have the Google Earth program, check out the amount of rain forest that is being burned every year, search on Brazilia. One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost every second with tragic consequences for both developing and industrial countries. Even in Brazil, they now experience less rainfall affecting river navigation, what goes around, comes around as they say. The Kyoto Protocol Partnership is calling on all schools worldwide to help grow a new Global Forest, to combat global warming, see http://www.kpp.org.uk We are also asking individuals and companies to sponsor a school in their area. The Global Forest Project enables everyone to take positive action to offset CO2 emissions generated as a result of car or air travel, or general use of energy.
School children everywhere are being encouraged to plant a tree to soak up CO2, the gas that contributes to global warming. Through this project, we hope that school children everywhere will learn more about global warming, and the need to reduce energy waste. This project encourages children everywhere to become more aware for the need to reduce energy waste, to turn off electrical appliances and lights, TVs and Videos left on standby, to unplug mobile phone chargers left in electrical wall sockets.
Through our website, http://www.kpp.org.uk, we try to make people more aware for the need to reduce energy waste, and we get a positive response from school children and teachers. If you or your company would like to offset your CO2 emissions, what better way than to sponsor a school in your area, to help us grow our Global Forest. Don’t just sit there complaining, do something! Visit http://www.kpp.org.uk The Global Forest is sponsored by the KPP (Kyoto Protocol Partnership) This non profit organisation promotes greater wareness for action to curb the effects of Global Warming. We believe that there has been too much talk, and not enough action, and that action on this issue is the responsibility of each and every global citizen, regardless of nationality, religion or policital beliefs.
