Voice mail systems are e-mail or phone systems in which the users are able to leave computer generated or spoken messages for one another. These messages can be retrieved at any time by the users. Message forwarding, voice note adding, multiple message sending, paging service and call transferring are the main features of voice mail systems.
Automated attendant facility allows call answering by the system and can dial to the selected person’s appropriate voice mailbox or telephone. Voice mail systems are used in many office telephone systems or PBX (Private Branch Exchange). Voice mail to text services and support fax are the most advanced implementations of voice mail systems.
Voice mail systems offer companies an economical way of managing organizational communication, which is more advantageous to both the company and its employees.
